O’Brien Roofing & Leadwork Ltd is a family run business based in Bridport, Dorset, which was established in 2003 by Daniel O’Brien. During this time, the Company has worked with numerous local builders and Local Authorities and has gained a reputation for high quality workmanship.
O’Brien Roofing & Leadwork Ltd specialise in lead working, welding and bossing, as well as installation and repair of guttering from traditional cast iron gutters to modern UPVC materials. For added peace of mind, customers can also feel safe in the knowledge that the Company is approved by the Lead Sheet Association (LSA), who is the foremost independent technical authority on the design, specification and use of rolled lead in the construction industry.
In addition to leadwork, the Company undertakes all roof slating and roof tiling work from slipped slates to a complete re-roof, on domestic buildings, churches and commercial units. O’Brien Roofing & Leadwork Ltd is a registered member of The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) and is consequently accredited to the TrustMark Scheme, a Government endorsed standards scheme providing insurance backed guarantees for qualifying domestic re-roofs and new work. The NFRC is the UK’s largest and longest established roofing trade federation, which requires members to comply with a strict Code of Practice and to install products that comply with British Standards or have a Third Party Accreditation.
Vetting of the Company is carried out regularly by both the National Federation of Roofing Contractors as well as the Lead Sheet Association.
In addition, O’Brien Roofing & Leadwork Ltd is also an approved Topseal GRP (Glassfibre Reinforced Polyester) flat roofing installer, which means that all roofing operatives are trained in the system and are fully certified. All roofing contracts carried out using the Topseal system are covered by a 25 year manufacture backed warranty scheme.

All employees are trained to work safely at height and a continuous programme of training is maintained to enable all employees to achieve their NVQ through the South Wales & South West Roofing Training Group.
Employee Training
O’Brien Roofing has signed up to a dedicated program with CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) and South Wales and South West Training, which will see our employees given the opportunity to gain level 2 and 3 NVQ qualifications.
All our employees are trained in first aid and working at heights. All certificates can be viewed at our office.
